Matt Bell, editor of The Collagist, was kind enough to include an excerpt from Girls I Know in the latest issue. More importantly, Issue Forty-Six includes great new fiction by Norman Lock, Evelyn Somers, Matthew Simmons, Meghan Dowling, Carmen Lau, Virginia Pye, and Katherine Bucknell. I’m partial to The Collagist because of the range of writing Matt has represented over the years–from realistic to experimental fiction–and also because the online magazine has its roots in Michigan. Speaking of Michigan, this issue continues a really interesting continuation of a symposium held last month at Art X Detroit. The meeting honored the extraordinary work of Peter Markus. Enjoy!
